Phil Boswell to Speak to FAACE on Insurance Needs for Artists and Crafters

Tomorrow night (Tuesday, March 1) Phil Boswell is going to attempt to answer all questions regarding the specific needs of artists and crafters insurance.

Many "assume" that their home owners insurance will cover their art, their studio, their students... That isn't necessarily true. If someone stops by your house to look at your paintings and has a fall, will insurance cover the accident? what happens if they sue? When they tell the insurance company they came by to purchase something from you as an artist, will your insurance company deny the claim and say they don't cover a business?

What happens if you're at a show and a shelf falls on a visitor? what happens if lightening strikes your studio and you lose not only your irreplaceable work, but all your tools, paints, glazes, etc.?

Should you get a rider on your homeowners insurance or get separate business insurance?

In addition to discussing insurance needs we'll be sharing information on a few upcoming shows the club will either be participating in or be responsible for.

We meet the first Tuesday of each month at the Towne Club Center in Peachtree City. 7 p.m. For more info, or to find out how to join, visit www.FAACE.org.

Hope to see you there! You don't have to be a member to join us for your first meeting.
